How does WFP identify and select the families who will receive assistance?

WFP prioritizes food assistance for families determined to be most economically vulnerable. The result is determined by a statistical model that combines multiple socio-economic. Families that will no longer receive monthly assistance in 2026 may still qualify to receive assistance in the future if more funds become available.

Who is providing the in-kind food assistance to Lebanese households? Will I still receive the same assistance from the same Cooperating Partners?

WFP provides in-kind food assistance through its Cooperating Partners. However, some cooperating partners may change in 2026. If any changes are made, WFP will be notifying households via SMS.

What is the frequency of food ration distributions?

The in-kind food assistance distributions normally take place on a monthly basis, subject to the availability of funds and food parcels. In case of any interruption, households will be informed via SMS.

What are the commodities within the food parcel?

WFP will introduce a revised B2 food basket starting in February 2026. The updated basket provides 1,229 kilocalories per day for a household of two, representing approximately 58.5% of the average daily caloric requirement, and consists of ten food commodities. As an additional top-up, WFP has started distributing rice to all households alongside the revised B2 parcel.

Small households receive 1 parcel, medium households receive 2 parcels, large households receive 3 parcels. Please see below for the weight of each commodity in the B2 parcel along with the entitlement.
